Religious police bans play in saudi

They couldn't have women acting in plays, so saudi male actors resorted to play women's parts in plays, which now is banned by the religious police, because a fatwa came out against men dressing up andacting like women. So what they are basically saying is, if you want to act in saudi, and you don;t have an all male ensamble, you ain't acting. This seems counterproductive in an anti-gay country: bringing more and more theatre males together, you know? You would think they would know better. Oh well..

saudis are pathetic, do you know that they are not allowed to clap even???
the reason why is that, dear oh dear, the frowned upon Koffar used to clap while walking around the ka3ba during pilgrimage!!
There was an article by the satirical Ali Salem in Roselyosef about his personal experience in a saudi arabian play where at the end he stood up & clapped only to find the audience stare back at him in indignation & chant" Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar" & later was told by a friend clapping is a big no, no there & frowned upon as its associated with paganistic meccan tradition. Do we expect them to allow women to act when they dont let men even clap at an all male play? isn´t it a catastrophic tragedy that in the 21 century, there are people who think with such a mentality?

At some point they'll think of banning women out of society altogether, outlawing marriage, or returning to the old pagan habit of burying newborn girls..

Sheesh..
