Talk about escelation

A US congressman thinks that if the US is attacked with a nuke by islamic terrorists that the US should nuke Mecca. Yeah, I see how that would stop them all from wanting you dead! Wait, nope, I don't! They would then have nothing to lose and a real credible case to make against the US being an enemy of Islam instead of the baloney they usually offer.

So what is the right response, other than surrender? How do you make a proportionate response to a diffuse enemy?

It is impossible for four planes to kill 100,000 people. What are you smoking? 50,000 people in the WTC, since when? 9/11 was sad enough, you don't need to disparage it by rambling about how it was just a fraction of the intended loss. Tell that to the dead.

He is going to run for Senator and was looking for votes. Nuking Mecca would raise the Presidents approval rate to about 90%. And the 10% that didn't approve don't matter, They have NO political power and no prospect of gaining any. And now the Brits are declaring open season on Muslims. As far as the Islamic response to nuking Mecca, Just what can they do that they aren't doing already? No, Nuking Mecca just might encourage the muslims that don't want to die to get a grip on those muslims that do want to die. And if they won't, or can't, then we can make them all myrtars and let Allah sort it out. Islam was spread by the sword, it will die the same way.
