Sinai Terrorist Attack update

While the international media is ignoring it for some strange reason ( the story isn't on CNN or MSNBC), Claims of responsbility for Yesterdays Sinai Terrorist attack have been made by a group called the Mujahedeen of Egypt. It's worth noting that this is one of the three groups that claimed responsibility for the Sharm El Sheikh attacks as well. "Here are the lions of Jihad striking Sinai peninsula once again despite the precautions which the infidel security forces have taken," the Mujahedeen of Egypt said. It claimed three Israelis and two Canadians were killed in the bombing. Attacking and wounding canadian women. Lions indeed! The bomb itself? The blast Monday was caused by a natural gas canister planted along the side of the road and detonated by wire, North Sinai Gov. Ahmed Abdel Hamid said on state television. A second wired canister failed to explode, he said. Local security officials said the canisters were filled with explosives. It is worth noting that Natural Gas canisters can be used to make effective short range bombs and that they are easily purchased in Egypt, since the majority of people aren't connected to the natural gas network and need to use those cansiters to operate the ovens and cook food. Statements by government officials that seem to aim to make me incredibly uncomfortable? Abdel Hamid said the explosion was meant more as a warning than to cause damage. "This is a firecracker," he told The Associated Press, but did not elaborate. Thanks. I feel a whole lot more optimistic about the future already!

I haven't even read anything about this in the Canadian press so the US media isn't the only ones ignoring this story.

SM , it's because the Gaza pullout 'tragedy' is taking place, the plight of the settlers makes more headlines than a couple of dead women in a half baked explosion in the Egyptian desert.. That's to show you how news is very selective. That is why we need to have our own media.
