Norway seems eager to fight with the UK over "the most retarded display of PC-ness" award. I mean, sure, Britian banned Piglet and pig stories in schools, But Norway, they banned the star of David, because it is a provocation against the muslim students. Seriously. A municipally employed teacher in Kristiansand has been prevented from wearing a Star of David around his neck. Kristiansand Adult Education Center, where the man works, ruled that the Jewish symbol could be deemed a provocation towards the many Muslim students at the school, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports. Teacher Inge Telhaug said he feels this is a violation of his freedom of speech. "I can't accept this. It is a small star, 16 millimeters (0.6 inches) that I have around my neck, usually under a T-shirt. I see it as my right to wear it," Telhaug told NRK. Telhaug teaches immigrants Norwegian language and culture at the education center. Telhaug is not Jewish. "I see it as the oldest religious symbol we have in our culture, because without Judaism there would be no Christianity," Telhaug. The principal of the school, Kjell Gislefoss, feels that the Star of David can also be interpreted as a political symbol for the state of Israel, and is afraid the star can provoke and offend students, for example immigrants from the Palestinian territories. "The Star of David would be a symbol for one side in what is perhaps the world's most inflamed conflict at the moment. Many have a traumatic past that they have escaped and then we feel that if they are going to learn Norwegian then they can't sit an at the same time be reminded of the things they have traveled from," Gislefoss said. Awww........ So, like, they will never be taught Israel in geography class? Nothing about Jews at all? No WW2 or the Holocaust? And does that mean they will ban displays of the crescent to immigrants from, I dunno, the Sudanese christian areas or russians who live in chechnya? WTF? What the hell is happening to europe? Aren't they suppsoed to be the smarter ones? Telhaug has hired a lawyer and refuses to give in. Good for him.

Don't tell me you just read this piece of news now? Well France also has banned the star of David, the Cross and the scarf at schools ... aaah everyone is going crazy concentrating on the stupid details - as I said before - which highlight differences and ignoring everything elses which makes us human and the same.
The more I read the more I am conviced that Europe is just about to the point that it was in 1920. Even thought WW4 ( cold war was 3) is already going on, Europe hasn't woke yet and I fear that the major battles are yet to come and guess exactly where I think they will be?:(
Looks like freedom of expression is only ok if you insult someone, threaten them or ask others to attack them. Start wearing a religious symbol and all hell breaks out.
There may be some benefits though it that rappers may be banned from wearing ridiculously large or multiple crosses. They must have strong necks?
I say we use their logic against them.
Lets bann the Quran until they modify the passage "jews are pigs and monkeys" to the more PC friendly, "jews are monkeys".
The word "pig" is just not acceptable.
On another note, I will not rest until "Hebrew National Hot Dogs" is replaced with "Zionists Conspiracy White Fish"
Z, I believe the answer to that is no in a lot of cases. There are countries like SA that prohibit anything that isn't a muslim symbol. Having a cross or crucifix can cost you your life let alone a star of David.
