PETA kills animals

It seems that Penn and Teller episode on PETA was right on the money: 2 of their members were arrested for disposing euthanized cats and dogs, ones that they obtained under the premise of finding homes for. Now that's how you ethically treat animals. Sick puppies.

PETA should just get it over with and change their name to PITA! These are the same people who work with ELF and IMHO both are terrorist organizations and should be treated as such.

Can anyone tell me how PETA benefits from euthanizing animals?
The truth is that there are far too many animals for the number of available homes. So I don't care so much about that. But why is PETA going to all this trouble to take freaky stands, and then collecting animals to kill them?
Are they getting paid by towns for every animal they collect? Are the workers. I don't get it.
