Iran wants you to be tolerant of its intolerance

This is... ehh..... ohh, what the hell, just read: Iran dismissed international criticism of anti-Israeli remarks by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, urging the West on Sunday to show greater tolerance for differing points of view. Last week, Ahmadinejad called the Holocaust a "myth" and said if Europeans insist it did occur, then they should give some of their own land for a Jewish state, rather than the one in the Middle East. The comments came just two months after the hard-line president called for Israel to be "wiped off the map." The remarks sparked outrage in Israel and the United States, and European leaders warned Saturday they would consider sanctions. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said Sunday the international reaction was overblown. "The West had a very emotional attitude about Ahmadinejad's comments. Westerners have to learn to tolerate other's opinion," Asefi said at a news conference. LOL Nope, wait, it gets better. This Foreign Minister guy is really good at this: He dismissed the European sanctions threat as "baseless and illogical" and said Ahmadinejad was simply articulating Iran's position toward Israel. Oh Boy! Mr FM, I have one question for you : You sure you are not high or something? No? Ok. No, didn't meant nothing by it. It's just a thing I ask people. Nevermind me. So, what you are saying is that Iran's official position toward Israel is a one where they deny the holocaust ever happend and want the country wiped off the map? Is that what you are saying? That's your diplomatic calrification that is supposed to calm down criticisms and concerns? Wow guy, you are doing a heck of a job. Keep it up!

truth is most of the supposed 'ghafaws' from European countries is just some phony "oh I should be upset by this".... so "let's act like it at least".... the Iranian nutjob isn't as off as we'd like to think in his analysis of European combination of apathy, and dislike of Israel.

Now just fing imagine if Sharon made a statement that was 1/10th as violent towards any Arab state.
Koffi and his bootlicking ass would have the Security Council in there the next morning and we'd hear the Eunicks lining up to show how pissed off they are.

Europe doesn't need a Jewish state because European countries accept Jews as human beings and citizens with full rights.

If the same was true for the Arab world, there might not be a need for a Jewish state (or a Kurdish autonomous province in Iraq for that matter).

I think the rhetoric from Iran will begin to tone down now that the elections in Palestine are over. I think the point of the rhetoric was to inflame tensions so that people would be drawn to Hamas and Hezz. They did the same thing to get a hardliner (Ahmadinejad) elected in Iran. Remember? They created artificial fear and hysteria about an impending US invasion of Iran. As soon as the Iranian presidential election was over, the issue was dropped. One day they'll go too far and start a real war. Until then, they'll maintain power by provoking confrontation and calling the other side "satan". It is the Iranian way.

Yes, that's right. He was.

I find it rather worrying that Europe and the world are upset with Iran for articulating their position but not with Iran for having that position.

It's not like anything has changed in the world.

I wonder how tolerant Iran would be if you told them their religion was a "myth" and the koran should be wiped from the earth?

Blasfomy anyone? Whats the penalty for that again?

Jesus, the Son of God, insyructed us to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

We should obey the son of God.

By expressing a desire to wipe Israel from the map while also pursuing nuclear weapons Ahmadinejad is expressing how he would like Iran to be treated by others. He is doing unto Israel as he would like others to do unto him.

Now Jesus instructed us to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Well, I would want others to do everything I say. And since Ahmadinejad wants Iran to be nuked, then we are obligated to do so. Jesus has commanded us to nuke Iran.

am I sounding like a mullah yet?

So the world needs to listen to their viewpoint, right?

Well, I think a lot of people were listening when they said:

Iran: We would win Nuke War !

I am sure they heard it loud and clear.
