"That's a lovely shade of Lipstick you are wearing, Mr. President!"

Posted by Hello Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak during his televised national address to encoruage people to vote in today's referendum yesterday. It may not seem that apparent in this picture, but the man had a ton of Make-up on, in an attempt to look younger then he really is. I have to admit that it did work, Mubarak- who is 77- looked 73, 74 years old tops. Disclaimer: The writer of this blog doesn't think that our great democratic president looks anything like a clown in this photo. And despite heavy rumors to the contrary, he doesn't think our great national leader looked like an aging transvestite in any way shape or form. So please, do not spread such viscious rumors, because the writer of this blog is scared shitless as it is for posting this picture. He just couldn't help it. To his defense he suspects he has some kind of political OCD or something, but can't find his medication anywhere in egypt. So please, mr. Friendly Egyptian Intelligence Mukhabarat guy, leave him alone. He just doesn't know any better.

Sam, I saw nothing wrong with your observations. However, I think President Murbarak needs to fire his media people for allowing an incompetant make up person to get near him. TV is an unforgiving eye and whomever did the lighting and makeup did your President a job. You've done a service for your country and your President.

reminds me of the time I was in Vegas and a friend and I stopped in to the Liberace museum...

It also reminds me of the Star trek where the alien was really a little kid (the one from Gentle Ben!)and he had a dummy do his PR.

Face it, youre in a socialist theocracy run by "people" stuck in 1962. Live your life as a free person and don't get too tight with this shit. Do something put don't talk about it and make yourself a sitting duck.

All this chatter in blogland is great..if youre sitting in a dormroom on a laptop daddy bought you.. but if youre actually living in one of these paradises of socialism, don't be fucking idiot and get yourself killed just so we can think youre funny.

First things first homey.

Hosni's party is about to start, for now he's a great asset because he isnt gettingin the way. He just takes his billions from the US and lets the intel crews run amok.

I live in America and saw his most boring speech on ESC-1 and I do have to agree with your assumptions. He is one ugly mothefucker and I hope he dies a horrible death. Why are there so many commercials by the government in which Copts and Muslims are shown together, what brought this about? I watched el biet-bietak and they talked about a patriotic commercial about a muslim family, a coptic family then both of those families meeting up for a feast? What has changed the egyptian government's mind in wanting to show the Copts as part of society?

Haha..I can't explain to you how brave egyptians seem, specially to someone from Syria!
Not even god himself here would dare to have such a picture and say a word about the president!
Take advantage of this and don't let the mukhabarat and thugs brake and scare you..It will lead the whole country, in all aspects, right to hell!

Karim: tab leh keddah bas? Ya 3amy walal tez3al. I will buy you lunch.

Catherine: It's only because it's election time and Bush is pressuring Hosny that we are so brave. This is, in many aspects, the reveloution of the cowards. You just wait till spetmber comes and goes and Hosny is back in office, and all of us dissenters will be hailed to jail for being "american agents" and "destabalizing the country". So yeah, thanks for the compliment, but it's probably undeserved. As for Bisho, well, whenever u feel like making fun of him, just give me an e-mail. I consider him an egyptian responsbility, since His Daddy Hafez, Saddam and Qaddafi were all trained and supported by Nasser's egyptian Mukhabarat in the 1960's, so that they could be his straw men in their respective countries and so that he can beocme the elader of the United States of Arabia. Fa sorry in the name of the egyptian people for inflicting that on your people, bas wallahy it wasn't us but our shitty rulers.
