Invalid Votes

In this past referendum, it has been announced that there was a number of "Invalid ballots" that got submitted. I thought that most of them were like this guys i know at work, who just went there and checked both the "Yes" and "No" squares, because he didn't want them to use his vote behind his back ( i.e. allow someone to vote Yes using his name, which happens in our elections a lot). El Dostoor newspaper apparently did it's own investigation, and informed everyone that there were multiple types of "Invalid votes" that totaled approx. 780 thousand votes and listed them in today's paper by number and category. Here are some of them and keep in mind that this was a yes or No referendum on amending the constitution and had nothing to do with anything else like voting Mubarak for presidnet or anything of that nature. Ok? Ok Here we go: 130 thousand wrote “yes to Mubarak” 110 thousand wrote “We support Ayman Nour for President” 13 thousand wrote unprintable insults to the government and government officials 60 thousand wrote “ May God help me/be my agent against you” (7asby allah wa Ne3am el wakeel) and because that’s the MB’s slogan, it is suspected it was their members who wrote that. 75 thousand asked for jobs on the ballot and listed their names, addresses , phone numbers , educational qualifications and even past work experience. And 35 thousand wrote a request for getting medical treatment on the government’s expense with their names, numbers and medical conditions. No comment!
