Galloway is in trouble

An Inquiry claimed that the British MP Geoerge Galloway has lied under oath to the US senate on taking money from the Saddam Hussein regime. Galloway says such allegations are false and that he is ready to come back to the US and stand trial. I say take his pompus ass to court. I wanna see that bastard go down.

I'd think that after the Senate is done with him that he should be up against some sort of treason change in Great Britian too? He was aiding the enemy which his country was at war with.

Can a British MP really be charged with perjury against the US Congress? Doesn't his position provide him some sort of diplomatic immunity (or at least a lot of leeway) against what he says in other countries?

Sounds like a job for British prosecutors to handle, if they opt too. That should take the political element out of any criminal prosecution.

I just think it is a slippery slope. There are left-wing loonies in Holland (I think... or was it Germany?) who tried to use local laws to bring criminal charges against George Bush for the Iraq war. They had to reword the law to prevent such abuse of the criminal system for international political purposes.

Galloway has already proven himself to be a reckless, lying, traitor. There should be enough dirt on him in the UK to hang him with.

Yes, he can be charged with perjury for false testimony before the Senate. It is not political but part of the "oil for food" investigation. It will also, if proven true, which the documents that have been shown on TV look to be legit (banks records don't usually lie), he will be removed for his MP position and probably face British charges too.
