Egyptian readers: Go get your voter ID cards now

You can apply at a police station next to where you live. All you need is a photocopy of your National ID card and they will have it issued to you by next march. Go get it now!

Thanks for reminding us. It was very bitter for me not to be able to take part in both elections this year.

Neither Cadidate nor elector care for the follow up of the elections & any promises made are snuffed in second's time.
So What for? There is no one to vote for anwyay.

Another point for voters:

It would also be nice if those National ID cards did NOT categorize religion on it...which can obviously be used by some "intolerant" individuals to discriminate against others. What's the point? Shouldn't Egypt be a meritocracy and not a theocracy?!

Isn't that common sense?

dear egypeter
1- " Go out and vote for anyone or anything NOT Ekhwan " I would not vote for anyone unless they deserve my vote so anyone or anything is out of my calculations.

2- "would also be nice if those National ID cards did NOT categorize religion on it"
Agreed! something i have always said since the eighties. It is not solely for the purpose of intolerance but what purpose does it serve? It sure doesnt serve neither God or the angels, & since religion is a matter exclusively between a person & his creator, it must be abolished!

Well said joker...you should give your vote to who has earned it. But I think I made my point.

Of course religiont serves no purpose on a NATIONAL ID card. I think it would be ludacris to imagine something like that in the states. And not to mention it would be incredibly impractical considering how many there are - plurality is a wonderful thing!
