.. you go to LA and end up spending your Friday night in an arabic cafe with 12 guys and 1 girl, smoking Shisha and watching 4 guys play estimataion (a card game) for 3 houres. Never in my life did I want to shoot myself like I did yesterday. Bastards!

Believe me, 12 to 1 is way better than 12 to none, although the estimation part is really so bee2a and early ninties.

Hey, SM, some more ideas... Universal City Walk, lots of fun. They even have a HUGE movie theatre there, lots of restaurants, Hard Rock Cafe, etc, and Universal Studios amusement park is right next door.
Or, go the clubs in hollywood... or go pick up some Iranian chicks in Glendale :P
Old Pasadena is a very cool place to hang out too. Hell, I could name 1000 things more fun than hanging out in a museum. LA is not even known for it's museums anyway... why would a guy from Egypt go to a museum in LA? Well, if you do go to a museum here, I recommend the Getty.

Nancy, thanks for the defence, but if Jokerman just went through the same exact amount of torture I have to go through every time my dad visits, the asian art museum, the de young museum, the botanical garden, the aviation museum, the computer history museum, the tech museum, the egyptian museum (yes, there's a huge one here), he'd appreciate my annual overdose of art and back and leg and knee pain that I get.
