We jail everyone
Did anybody know that we had british islamists jailed in Egypt? No? Me neither! Well, we are deporting them back now apparantly. Three Britons left an Egyptian jail on Tuesday after serving almost four years of their five-year sentences for spreading propaganda for an Islamist group, the mother of one of Britons said.
Officials said they would be deported to Britain within 24 hours.
The Britons -- Reza Pankhurst, Maajid Nawaz and Ian Nisbett -- were among a group of 26 men jailed for between one and five years for spreading the propaganda of the Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami (Islamic Liberation Party).

At the time of the trial, Hizb ut-Tahrir complained the authorities had tortured the defendants to extract confessions.
The Egyptian authorities say they investigate all complaints of torture in detention.
I am sure. LOL.
The human rights group Amnesty International said the trial, held in a state security court, was unfair and the men were convicted merely for expressing their views peacefully.
I love amnesty international. They must be some of the nicest people ever. What were their views again? Kill the infidels? Overthrow the government? Declare Jihad on the egyptian infidels? Did I call Amnesty International nice? I mean dumb. Dumbest people ever.

Those "dumb" people are the ony ones running after human rights and are the only one that will look after you if you get arrested in "Democratic" Egypt!
I agree with ur point about those Jihadidists, but remember that thise who torture do not have an ideology and will torture you or me just for having different views!
hizb attahrir folks declare they want an islamic state but they wouldn't use violence to achieve it. they have the mindset that they're in the meccan phase of the daawa so they just preach for the moment.
i'm having hard time remembering the details of the case. I don't think they were tortured. or at least not as bad as most political prisoners in almahroosa. i remember reading statememnts - in alahram weekly?- by egyptians arrested in the same case thanking God for the britons. they won't torture the britons, and they would treat them much better and so the grtce might extend the egyptians.you know how the system works here with the khawagat.
damn, i have a terrible memory! i remember scrutinizing this case and the ideology of hizb attahrir 3 years ago, as i thought of using this case in a novel i was working at. but that's history now.
Sam,
So its OK to torture them? Have you even read what their ideas are? Have you read why they were in Jail?
Sigh....
I knew, my dad was their lawyer muwahahahahahahaha
