Breaking News: Muqtada Al Sadr is still an Idiot!
People who read this blog regularly know how i feel about Muqtada El Sadr and what his boys are doing in Iraq, and in case you are new here, and you don't feel like reading all about him here, well, I really really dislike him. I think he is a powerhungry opprutunist and a mediawhore, i think he is just angry that he got snubbed by the americans and the Iraqi government, and i think he is part of the problem instead of being part of the soloution. Oh, and i always thought he was an idiot, but that's just my own personal opinion. Thankfully, our Boy Muqdi, likes to talk and hold news conferences out of his own delusions of grandeur of being the anticpitated "Mahdi" of the muslim Shiites. Here is his latest drivel: "I demand several things, including punishing Saddam and calling on the Iraqi government, religious movements and political factions to work hard to kick out the occupier," al-Sadr said. "I want the immediate withdrawal of the occupation forces." Muqtada also demanded that Paris Hilton should stop her whoring around, that the sky remains blue and that puppies remain cute, but just like his other demands, he has no plan, method or way to make them feasiable or realistic. After all, such trivial practical matters should not concern the "Mahdi", who of course gets his orders from God and spends his time between media interviews talking to him. He makes the demand and everyone else has to figure out how to get it done; If they don't then they are all godless traitors. It's all very simple really. Ironically, for a man who dislikes the occupation so much, the person who is trying to get a murder charge dropped against him is none other then occupation supporter and Ex- Bush darling Ahemd Chalabi. Al-Sadr's reappearance coincides with mediation efforts involving Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Chalabi to get murder charges against the cleric dropped. An Iraqi judge has issued an arrest warrant charging al-Sadr and his key lieutenant, Riyadh al-Nouri, in the 2003 assassination of moderate cleric Abdul Majid al-Khoei. Ohh, i almost forgot: what's a Sadr Interview without some US bashing and a Bush- Iraq conspiracy theory? Thankfully, they are both available here: Al-Sadr also accused the United States of trying to foment a sectarian conflict, and he demanded the coalition release all detainees. Realease all the detainees? Even those who kill Iraqis? Even those who kill Shiites? Interesting! "The occupier is trying to make up a sectarian war between the Sunnis and Shiites," al-Sadr said. "It is not acceptable to direct the allegations of ugly acts committed by the occupier against the Shiites, to the Sunnis, we also condemn and denounce all the terrorist acts." Ahhh. So all of those bombings and people killed were not the Sunnis, but rather the US trying to ferment secterian war? So the US is the one training suicide bombers to attack their own troops and the iraqis, all in effort to get the Shiite to hate the Sunnis? Ahh, ok! Makes sense now. Cause before the US came along all was well between the Shiite and the Sunnis in Iraq, right? WoW Muuqti, you make it all so simple! And i am loving your denouncation and condemnation of all terrorist acts, who i am sure are orchestrated by the evil americans in order to look bad in Iraq. That makes sense! See why i think he is an idiot?
