New NDP = New Labour

Gamal Mubarak and Tony Blair are reported good friends, to tyhe degree that whenever Tony goes on vacation, he goes to the Egyptian presidential palace in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. Whatever.. It however seems that the connection between the NDP and New Labour goes a little beyond their leaders being friends. As UK egyptian Blogger Omar Salem reports, it seems that the NDP cut pasted their platform for reform from the New Labour's own 2005 campaign pledges. Heh.... Yeah, we were so traumatized by British colonialism that we couldn't have international election monitors, but we have no problem our ruling party becoming a franchise of the British ruling party. The Party of new ideas my ass!
