Demonstrations "Islamic" style
The MB University chapters (all 5000 of them) from all over Egypt gatherd at Cairo University yesterday in a demonstration that demands more political freedom for the movement. The demonstrators handed out fliers that demanded comprehensive political reform in Egypt, free student union elections, lower prices for text books and an end to state interference in academic life. And the demonstration itself was also very Islamic In Islamic style, the students marched in separate columns for men and women, holding yellow banners with the names of their universities and demands for change. Cause political rallies are no excuse for inter-gender mingeling. They might touch each other accidently, and then they will all have to wash-up again for the next prayer time. And do you know how long it would take 6000 people to wash-up? Well, I don;t know either, but i am guessing it will be a very long time. The MB slogan: More political freedom for islamist, less personal freedom for anybody else.

SM :) you managed to cast a negative spell at an otherwise perfectly good demo ..you must admit they are more organised than the rest of us though ;) ..and accidentally touching would not make 'unpure' for prayer you know that ...

hey I WAS AT UNIVERSITY YESTERDAY AND I SAW THIS DEMONSTRATION ;PEOPLE THOSE STUDENT REALLY REALLY TERRIFIED ME I FEEL THAT WANNA IMMIGRATE NOW OR SOMETHING MUST BE DONE TODAY BEFORE TONNORROW
