The security concerns are because of other events not terrorists. There is a more in depth update at my site. But this is heartbreaking none the less.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. You'll get them next time. Plus during the next protest you can stage camel
races with those robotic
camel jockeys and hold a
mass wedding for North Korean
scientologists.

Please make this happen, when is not important. There has been almost nothing but silence from the Muslim world which is leading many to conclude that most Muslims support terrorism, at least when Americans or Jews are being killed. We could not even get a large gathering of Muslims in the US to protest the atrocities carried out in the name of Islam.

I'm sorry you had to cancel the vigil. Nice try.

It is interesting that they gave you the permit, then revoked it.

You and Big Pharaoh may take some consolation from this: I always took very seriously what you two wrote about the political situation in Egypt. This episode, however, has impressed on me much more the government's oppressiveness.

On a cheerier note, there was Churchill's remark about the dictators, with all their panoply of power and might, secretly terrified that one little word of dissent might bring them tumbling down.
