The NDP are idiots

The MB chooses to attack the government's relationship with Israel to boost support for their candidates by utilizing egyptian anti-semetic sentiments. Basically saying the government is run by agents and traitors and the MB are the egyptian nationalists. And the NDP controlled government decides to support their theory by going around and arresting MB supporters in droves. Cause that's not gonna make the MB seem like the underdog or martyrs in the public's eye or anything. Serenity now!
