My Question to Noam Chomsky

Karim is interviewing Noam Chomsky for Egypt Today and has tagged me and a couple of other bloggers to field our own questions (1 per blogger me thinks) to the "world's leading intellectual", as a bunch of british idiots have called him in a recent poll. Since I am not a big fan of hypocritical leftist intellectuals who say one thing and do another, I figured I would give him a question that I am 100% sure he will dodge. Here it is: How do you reconcile your public negative views on Oil/ Pharamceuticals/ Militray corporations- which you deem to be evil and deadly- with the fact that your own retirment plan stock portofolio is filled with investments in those same kind of corporations, whether directly or through investing in the TIAA-CREF stock fund, which makes you both an owner and a supporter of them? How does that work exactly? Fair question, no? Oh yeah, Thanks Karim for tapping me. Make sure he doesn't weasel his way out of answering that one, will ya? Please? Just can't wait!

I bet that he says that this is a University funded retirement account managed by TIAA-CREF and that he has no options on how it is run, since they don't have a "Green" plan, etc. Then he will say that TIAA-CREF should have this option and that is own personally directed investments do not invest in these evil companies.

Since there will be no follow-up question with evidence to refute his statement, it will be accepted as truth, regardless of the real facts.

Yes, I'm sure he has no control over what his investment account manager does with his money :o

He has already answered that question with something like....it is legal and why shouldn't he be able to take care of his family. Hypocrite, he knows that the left is too damn dumb and idealogical (illogical?) and won't believe that he really does this investing and that it is all a VRWC.

When I caught Chomsky in a distortion close to a fib, he replied that it was all part of the "game". He is a dishonest intellectual, despised by today's linguistics students and the despair of his family - though I did learn some things from him, once upon a time. He was a little bit saner, then...

Karim should ask the following question.

Socialists around the world have taken an Internet poll saying that they would like you to be the world’s dictator. Given that premise, who is smarter you or Nim Chimpsky, who is also a cunning linguist in his own right? If you are unaware of Mr. Chimpsky, here is a link that will present his illustrious curriculum vitae. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nim_Chimpsky

Good luck. Note that Michael Moore is denying he holds any Halliburton stock, even though it's on his tax return! The most you will get is a Clintonesque parsing of language
