Yeah, If only !!
Will one live to see that day when there are muslims who actually know that religious men have no authority over them & that religion isnt as rigid as these preachers keep saying, when muslims can think for themselves in a universal,more humanitarian way, when muslims genuinely respect christians & jews & behave with civility & not like demented cattle in a wild stampede, i wonder.

I had a weird thought - and excuse me for not knowing islam to its roots, but - isn't the west, with its help and compassion (and I'm not blind to the stupid sides as well) - CLOSER to islam THAN MOST ARAB NATIONS? (maybe all)
Aren't we actually the ummah, that succeded in taking care of everybody?
Christians and muslims believe in the same god - same god, different prophet - well does it matter; The West succeded in the face of god, to change miserable standards of living, disease and poverty, into decent lifes for most! What did the arab world do?
We are both brothers under god (if you believe in him), but shouldn't the younger muslim brother stop torching and killing everything the older brother succedes in? Shouldn't he share the wisdom of the west, and take part, instead of demanding everybody to play his game - a game that leaves so many out (women, homosexuals, Israelis and so on)?

Christians & jews are closer to Islam ofcourse & anyone who believes in God & the judgment day is considered a muslim according to the Quran.
Ofcourse many muslims wont like it & use rhetorical rubbish but its the truth, like Mohamed Abdou said when visiting Europe, In Europe i saw Muslims without Islam , & here ( middle east) Islam without muslims.
