Carlinism of the day

Something is really wrong in America: A 16 year old girl needs a permission slip from her parents in order to skip school, but doesn't need one to get an abortion.

You're right...that is fucked up. I've been thinking that for a long, long time.

You know what else is fucked up? Some court over here is trying to rule that the guantanamo bay prisoners have 5th amendment rights. That's the right to be charged and have a speedy trial. They are trying to claim that they cannot be held indefinitely.

Frankly, I will be writing on this sometime today, I think they are full of shit. These aren't criminals. They aren't American citizens. They were captured on a field of battle. They weren't in uniform and did not adhere to the code of uniformed warfare. They deserve no rights under the constitution or the GC and I'm going to write on this.

But, I think that just shows you that even our judicial system can be fucked up.

It's the constant struggle to balance in a democracy. We have been tilting WAY to far to the left for awhile.

Please understand that I am a 37 year old who is new to the computer systems internet technology feild. My brother installed my Dell computer and Cable Modem Internet Web Site for me to communicate with my family and friends. He also installed my scanner for scanning photos and movies. My cat got caught in the wires and I quickly pulled out all the wires because I love my cat Snowball more then I love my computer internet scanner system. Anyway my problem is that I plugged in everything after getting Snowball out of the wires but when I left button click click on the "HP Scanner" picture on my desktop(the big colored screen)I get a little box picture saying error in application has occured. I think that is what it says but cannot be sure. Could one of you tech computer experts help me please. I was using the Google to search and it found this site.

Kat, you are correct. If the people shooting at our military don't play by the rules of the GC, i.e. no uniforms, targeting civilians etc. etc. they should not be subject to the rules of warfare, as they are not playing by them. These guys are not American citizens, therefore have no rights that flow from our founding documents. Especially when they are not on U.S. soil and are captured combatants held by the military.
