A question and Two requests!

Hey everybody, Lately a number of you have been e-mailing me and urging me to use Haloscan for comment posting. I usually hate Haloscan because it has a character limit which annoys the shit out of me personally when i try to leave a comment. This is why i havn't been leaving comments at your blog jeffery, even though i really wanted to a couple of times. The thought of hitting a character limit just turns me off completly. However, some people keep telling me that it is a good thing to have because it allows people who are not signed in to Blogger to post their comments. This makes me confused cause i thought you could leave anonymous comments on my blog, which is basically people who are not signed in to Blogger. But maybe i got it wrong and there are people who truly want to leave comments and can't because i don't have Haloscan. Since i am a comment whore, i am willing to do anything to ensure that people that read this blog are able to put their 2 cents in and post whatever they feel like it. So i am leaving this up to you guys: If you feel that Haloscan would be a nice edition to this site, tell me by posting a comment or by e-mailing me and do the same if you don't think haloscan is necessary. I will make my decision based on majority rule. ok? Ohh yeah, and i have been looking for someone to be a blogging partner to post in this site and cover my ass the days in which i seem to just disappear. Anyone is welcome to send in an application if they are interested or if their blog happend to just shut down on them ( hint hint: Louise). The person applying doesn't have to agree with me on everything, but should at least have similar or parallel views. If you are interested and feel that this applies to you, again send me an e-mail telling me all about you. Oh and as for the ones who asked me to update you about my mother, well, she did check in to cleveland heart clinic and is scheduled for surgery on tuesday. I think they are doing a double bypass even though she is supposed to have a triple one, but when i asked my mother for explanation she spouted lots of medical jargin in my face and i couldn't follow her at all. Anyway, she is having heart surgery on tuesday and that's all i need to know. And here comes my second request: Please pray for her. I don't care if you believe in Allah, Krishna, Budha or Tom the god of biscuits, any prayer will help. And if you don't believe in god or any higher power, then just send some positive vibes her way will ya? I am trying to cover all my bases here! Thank you guys in advance and i am waiting on your responses.

Awwwww. REJECTED!

Oh well, that still leaves the post open. I am sure i will find someone just as good (if not better)to fill it up. If not, i will continue playing it solo. I can do it!

Monkey, put it this way. You are one of a kind, and should I join forces with you, I could not possibly do anything but ruin the great thing you have going. Nice try with the guilt trip, though.

Hey Sandmonkey,
I read but don't post 'cause I don't like to be anonymous, and I don't wanna blogger account. So here's my suggestion: Go to www.ewebscapes.com, chat with Lisa there, have her hook you up with a domain and hosting account and a wordpress template. Then you can do a TON more with your blog, it will be way easier on your guests as well as your blogroll, and you'll be in the news in no-time. :)

Three thoughts...

1) Haloscan does offer a 3000 character variety, but it does cost money. I hate the 1000 character thing, too because, obviously, I usually have a lot more to say than 1000 characters (I don't know if that's good or if I'm just a comment hogger, but there it is). Blogger does allow for anonymous comments. If people aren't able to, you need to check your settings. Otherwise, the comment thing that is a pain in the butt when you are trying to respond to someone's points (like maghdee and twosret) and you have to copy their comments to a document in order to review it as you respond.

So, I like haloscan, but if you're going to get it, can you invest in the 3000 character variety?

2) You know, you could get someone to post here who already has a blog. Like GM. You can share posts per se, like a blogger brotherhood. Or, do you have a friend or family member who shares your views? Or even close? Maybe we can corrupt...er...convince them to come over to the dark side even more...LOL

3) I am praying for your mom. Very hard. She obviously is a fine lady to have raised such a smart guy like you and gave you a chance to grow beyond the APU.

No for Haloscan, you can post on your site as Anonymous, you got it right.

Partner doesn't have to be thinking the same. It will fire up this site to have the opposite view. Louise (no hint no hint) totally out of question for me, glad that she said no.

Opposite views will work best in my opinion it will make both you and your partner search very well before you post topics. It will bring depth, logic, two sides of each story.

Good luck for your mama.

Louise and Kat reminds me of Lady and the tramp famous evil Siamese song:-

We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don't please
We are from a residence of Siam
There is no finer cat than I am

Do you see that thing swimming round and round
Maybe we can reach on in and make it drown
If we sneaking up upon it carefully
There will be head for you and a tail for me

Do you hear what I hear a baby cry
Where we finding baby there's milk near by
And if we look in baby buggy there could be
Plenty of milk for you and also some for me

(1) No to Haloscan!, Blogger is 'prettier' and we can post anonymously if we want and we don't have to register because we can always sign our name at the bottom..and if we insist/or have a blogger account we can register.
Good luck to your mum inshallah t'um bilsalamah !

(2) I have a rant concerning your post "Maher and Antiterrorism" dated 31/12/04 http://egyptiansandmonkey.blogspot.com/2004/12/bill-maher-anti-terrorism-soloution.html according to your theory ( or is it Maher's) Clinton did not start a war because he was getting laid, and you are deploring that the Arab/Muslim guys are so angry because they need to get laid right? So by extrapolating this whole hypothesis, then President GWB is experiencing severe sexual deprivation and that is why he is warmongerring, and the only thing which would make a difference is for him to get l**d. ;) am I correct? , just repeating what you and Maher stated .

the scrat, shall I take that as a compliment?? (She said, batting her eyes.)

Mike, that would be Louise from Red Neck Land, which seems to be what this province is known as in the rest of Canada. Nevermind that most of us came here, and are still coming in droves, from somewhere else.

And Sandmonkey. Me too. Hope your mom comes through with flying colours. And seriously, I couldn't possibly come up with the stuff you find and make such hilarious comments on it, but I promise to keep littering your comments section, haloscan or no haloscan.

Bill Maher is disgusting. One day I was watching his show and he said that any overweight person should never be on a beach.......He is a sick man with no class whatsoever.

Sandmonkey: Prayers to yoru mom. No to haloscan. Good luck finding a partner, I am sure you will choose well. Personally I think you and Jeffrey are like a sniper team...one spots, one shoots. But that is just what I think.
