Iraq is finally catching on and is sealing its borders with Syria to prevent "foreign fighters" from coming over and blowing shit up. Hopefully the Iran border is next!

They couldn't seal the borders until enough forts were in place and enough guards trained. No use making a big announcement about something like this when you have no hope of carrying it out. Look how much trouble the US has in sealing its border with Mexico.
Actually, if you re-read the news item, they have only closed one crossing point. If the terrorists have nice SUVs, they can drive across country.
Actually they have transportation provided by their Syrian contacts.
The trasport comes with two meals, water, coffee and one AK-47 or RPG with
ammo for one low price.
