conservative is different than sexist

This pisses me off: Two businesswomen have become Saudi Arabia's first female elected officials, a historic step in a deeply conservative country where women are largely barred from public life. Conservative isn't the right word here. The right word is more like sexist, misogynistic, chauvenistic, or any of those other big words that describe men who think of women as nothing more than walking vaginas that they teach in women studies classes. Conservative isn't the word though, sorry!

As a conservative Woman I 1000% agree with you! There is a tremendous divide between the word Conservative and what they describe!

It does fit the literal definition...as in resistant to change or slow to change.
