Not a road--but I once saw a babyhead cemetery. My husband had fun making up the story behind that one.

cut and shoot would be an awesome street to live on. No one would dare mess with anyone who lives on cut and shoot.

There was recent news story out of Columbia, Maryland, US, that the people who lived on what had originally been named "Satinwood" drive had been the victims of a typographic error at the County offices, so that the name became "Satanwood." It is now being corrected, after 25 years.....

AP's Los Angeles office made the error of placing Farfrompoopen Road in Tennessee rather than in Arkansas in reporting the story. Now if you Google Farfrompoopen Road, there about about 80,000 entries. I did not look at all of them, but a lot of them that I saw perpetuated the error.

If you look at Mitsubishi's Web site, you will see that Farfrompoopen Road, which came in third, is in Story, Ark. On second thought, it's too bad it did not come in No. 2.

A lake neat Webster, Wis., is Boner Lake (pronounced Bonner). The road sign kept getting stolen. Now the new sign says: Bonner Lake Road.
