On the same or similar subject, I just finished a novel called Prayers for the Assassin, by Robert Ferrigno. The story takes place in the year 2040, long after there were some nuclear explosions in an already demoralized USA. Most of the country has converted to Islam, forming the Islamic States of America. Yes, it's ridiculously farfetched, but a fun read.
