I think you are doing a good thing, and a right thing. All changes must come from the "man in the street". Information and the ability to think for you self is the key. (And a good dose of humour)
If you tell me the sky is yellow a 100 000 times, it won't change my view - it will still be a kind of blue. If you tell me Islam is peaceful, then show me - if you tell me Catholics are liberal - then show me an Irish abortion clinics, if you tell me Norwegian are born with cross-country skies on their feet - WHY did we not get a Gold medal to day in the Olympics? …eh.. :-)

Sandy, three cheers to you for this column. I hope you will zero in on the tendency towards paranoia and gullibility that seems to be even stronger in Muslims than in other fundamentalist/literalist religions. (I'm hoping to get a piece out on it, and my explanation of it, sometime in the next week, and hope you will comment on it.) Meanwhile, Deborah Lipstadt has discovered an interestingly horrible example of it from Syria:

I had seen a similar piece on an American 'Christian' anti-semitic website which might have been the basis for much of the anti-vaccination insanity -- people repeating the arguments without the anti-Semitism until no one knew where they originally came from.

Speaking of such, have you ever commented on the anti-vaccination situation in the Muslim world. Apparently a number of clerics in Yemen and elsewhere convinced the government that polio vaccination was a 'Western plot" -- I'll get back to you with references later -- and stopped them from doing it, and therefore kept a focus of polio alive that has now begun to spread again.

It is truly amazing just how much credit for genius these people give Jews.

I'm tellin ya, if every accusation against them was true, they're the most powerful entity on the face of the earth and the Arabs had better start kissing up if they want to survive.
