I am speechless

I have died and went to Blogger Heaven. 30000 hits in less than a day? Holy Crap. Big Thanks to Pajamasmedia, Solomania, LGF, Michelle Malkin, Instapundit, Gatewaypundit and the 70 million other bloggers who linked to the story. No Andrew Sullivan though, he still refuses to acknowledge my existence :(. Love You anyway Sully. For those of you who may have your doubts on the validity of this story*, well, here is the newspaper website and the cover of that issue. Hope that's proof enough for y'all. Dear New readers, make yourselves at home and feel free to browse around and check out the other stuff (or you can always donate to me wink wink nudge nudge). The Top 15 posts section on the sidebar is a good place to start. As for my other posts on the cartoon war, here they are in ascending order: A message to those who demand a Denmark boycott The retardedness continues Can the foolishness stop now? Let's boycott the boycott If you don't torch your Benz, then you don't love the prophet! Wow We are choosing our battles I guess Danish Embassy in Syria torched over the Cartoons How the other side thinks The Holocaust thing Danish Embassy in Beirut torched as well Just a thought We are Sorry The Vodafone conspiracy Irony, redefined! Der Standard interview Obsessed Incommunicato Boycott Egypt Whoa, I could write a book on this. LOL I put those up here , because I plan to put this whole exercise in stupidity behind me. I am done with this issue. For me it is over. There is nothing really more to say on the whole thing. I might have been proven right, but to be proven right about the stupidity of your own people is no victory at all. I just hope that this whole thing will fizzle out soon, and that God would forgive those of you who fanned its fire with your calls for boycott and your "Outrage", because whether you like it or not, the blood of all those who died and continue to die because of this is partly on your hands. Enjoy the fact that people died over a cartoon, ok? Oh yeah, and don't forget to Buy Danish! eat more danish support danish cows *The Newspaper took the page down, but Der Standard managed to get a screen-shot of it right here.

You've made it to the big league, man. Well done. I've been reading your blog for a while and I think you're doing an excellent job in diagnosing the hypocricy and stupidity that surrounds us and exposing it. Keep it up!

Hi Sandmonkey

I'm one of your new readers, but I'll keep coming back even if you never post more on this "issue". An I agree that all that could be said, was said.

By the way: In Denmark we don't really like Arla and Carlsberg. They're near-monopolies and use near-mafia methods to keep smaller diaries and breweries with better products off the market. So in a screwed up way this "issue" has actually bettered these companies', esp. Arla's, reputation on the home market.

Nice.
Congratulations.
I do believe that this is not over, my dear blogger.
You have provided the story. And this story will out.
This needs to go beyond the 70 million bloggers who fortuitiously read your blog.
Unfortunately, we are in a war. And the forces of evil have marshalled this particular battle against the forces of good. To not fully expose their tactics and fight will mean that they win this round with their cannon fodder shock troops.
And that would mean that the next go round will remove any condemnation of this evil from the public lexicon.
That would not be good.
The exposure is good. You have played a great part in the War of the worlds...

On this website the Saudi Mr Al-Jazairy explains why a Danish boycott is silly and concludes:
"We all condemn the newspaper and reject its unjustifiable attitude. However, playing on collective emotions should be abhorred. The responses of some Muslim communities in the West in dealing with the crisis are far more civilized than the Middle Eastern responses. Remember the Muslim Swedes who mourned for the Swedish Foreign Minister who died two years ago and prayed for her soul despite the fact that she was a Christian. Does this not resemble more the message of our beloved Prophet?"

It's a pity Sandmonkey is quiting this blogging of his. It was a pleasure to read his posts.
Myself I've started a protest yesterday, check it out here. Hope you will appreciate this effort. Anyone willing to cooperate, can contact me at humanrightsissues@gmail.com and I will explain you the details.

Dear Sandmonkey,

I have been coming here for quite a while now and I have come to the conlcusion that you are the real deal my friend. You walk the line between sarcasm and constructive criticism extremely well, and I have no doubt that you will eventually have a large positive impact on the world.

In the past I had always been a little reluctant to talk about politics in the many hipster social situations I find myself in here in NYC, but now when some liberal lefty android starts spewing illogical comments during a conversation I do not hestitate to call them out and blast them in face with all my Sandmonkey ammo/talking points. This intense level of logic and scrutiny of their poorly concieved nonsense arguments usually scares many of them off immediately, which is great because they annoy me, but I gotta say that the few that do stick around and discuss the topics with me often end up asking where I get this interesting info. If it's a chick and she is hot I tell her I come up with this shit on my own, but if it's a dude I give him your website, as well as ITM, so that they may be further enlightened.

On a final note when I wake up in the morning here in NYC and grab a coffe before work do you think that I am excited to A) read one of the world's supposed top newspapers the NY Times or B) read Sandmonkey's blog. You have arrived!

Wow, Sandmonkey you've achieved international fame the ultimate compliment, you know if a man is using your blog to get in good with a hottie, well you've arrived.
Way to go!
Hopefully the fortunes will arrive with as much abundance.

Well - danish newspapers have been informed, but dosn't seem to move on the subject: maybe they dont buy into the theory, why egyptians didn't protest at the time!?
Is it just a conspiracy theory, or do you believe in "the making of the cartoon war"?

I'd like to know from you and your partners...

What's the difference between a Palestinian and a Jordanian? Is it only about being born in the west or east of the Jordan???

I'll wait for you answer.

Looks like the Palestinians have taken Sandmonkey up on his call for a boycott of Egypt... or at least senseless criminal acts against..

I'm not blaming the whole of the Palestinian population for this, but I really have to wonder - if this is how Palestinians treat their allies, what is there left for Israel to negotiate with??

Gaza gunmen kidnap Egyptian official

Masked gunmen kidnapped an Egyptian diplomat in Gaza on Thursday outside the country's mission in Gaza City.

The daylight abduction took place after the gunmen shot out the tires of Hussam Almousaly's car, said a witness. Almousaly is Egypt's military attache to the Palestinian Authority.

Palestinian police set up roadblocks throughout Gaza, which has grown increasingly lawless since Israel withdrew last year.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas quickly condemned the kidnapping of the diplomat from Egypt, an important ally to the Palestinians. Egypt has been a key mediator in talks bewteen militant groups and Abbas.

The condemnation was echoed by a spokesperson for the militant group Hamas, which won recent parliamentary elections.

Egypt's Foreign Ministry said they were working to "expedite the release of the kidnapped diplomat."

As many as 20 foreigners have been kidnapped in Gaza in recent months. Militants often demand jobs from the Palestinian Authority in exchange for the return of the hostages. All have been returned unharmed.

Aljazira says:

The European Union has warned Saudi Arabia that the bloc will take action at the World Trade Organisation if the Riyadh government supports a boycott of Danish goods.

Peter Mandelson, the EU trade commissioner, told the Saudi Minister of State that any Danish boycott would be a boycott of the European Union.

Peter Power, a EU spokesman, said on Monday: "He made it clear that if the Saudi government had encouraged the boycott, Commissioner Mandelson would regret having to take the issue to the WTO."

This is a good example on the advantage for a small country to be a member of EU-25 with 457 miljon people and GNP of 12 trillion USD, when EU and USA unite on Iran, it means 752 miljon people with a GNP of 24 trillion USD is to big market for Russia and China to say no to. That is very good for freedom and democracy and security.

Well it might, if we eat it I guess.
SM, are you serious in thanking Michel Maulkin? One thing I can tell you about her, is that if she had it her way, you yourself won't be even allowed to enter the US, and the rest of the moslems living in the us would be either deported or shipped to internment camps, thanking her is like rooting for your own demise man.

You're wrong there, mohamed. Yes, Michelle Malkin wants to tighten Muslim immigration into the US. Her main concern is terrorists and terrorist sympathizers who want to harm the US, not legal immigrants who come here looking for a better life. We don't have any internment camps in the US. Plus, Sam here is as American as it gets. I would trade Sam Al-Arian for Sam the Sandmonkey any day of the week. I would also trade all the people at CAIR for just him.
